University Police will host its second town hall meeting for the UB community at 1 p.m. July 24 in the Active Learning Center (Room 1220) in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, 955 Main St., Buffalo.
The event is the second in a series of public safety forums being held by UB police this summer and fall across all three campuses.
The first one, held in June, focused on public safety on the South Campus. The meeting on July 24 will focus on the Downtown Campus.
These meetings provide University Police with the opportunity to speak directly with the UB community, provide the campus with updates and address any public safety concerns from students, staff and faculty.
The meeting will include a short presentation by UB deputy chiefs Scott Marciszewski and Mark Gates, as well as other staff, followed by a question-and-answer period. A representative from the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority police will be in attendance as well.
Questions can be emailed to Ub-police@buffalo.edu prior to the forum to allow presenters to prepare accordingly. Please put “UPD 7/24 Town Hall Question” in the subject line.
A third meeting will be scheduled for the North Campus in August. UB police also are planning town hall meetings for all three campuses in the fall.
